Mexico Ministry of the Sisters of Social Service
As early as 1963, the Sisters of Social Service began work in Mexico doing parish social work, religious education, direct charitable work and empowerment of the indigenous groups and the local communities.
Currently, we are involved in the Purepechan Nursing Program, helping young women in a residential and academic support program. They also operate a social service center within a parish, educational programs for the local community, summer camps for over 500 teens and children, and began a satellite university last summer in Zacapu.
